Winnats Pass & Ladybower Reservoir – THE PEAK DISTRICT

Our Peak District video starts off at the very popular location of Winnats Pass. Ben takes you over the top of the hills and flies you out over the breathtaking valley upon the drone. The valley is lusciously green with a very intriguing winding road that runs down to the village of Castleton.

Next, he takes you to the shores of Ladybower reservoir, famously known as being one of the training locations of The Dambusters. The reservoir itself is huge and separated into multiple parts with dams. It is absolutely gorgeous and the drone flight that you take over the misty water is one not to be missed.

Finally Ben takes you a little further up the reservoir to The Derwent Dam, a truly impressive structure considering that it was built between 1901-1916. After a gentle stroll on the path through the woodland that leads up to the dam, listening to the birds singing as you walk, he eventually arrives at the base of the structure. Once he has done a bit of research to find out how old the build is, he flies you out on the drone, rising above the dam and across the water high above him. Some beautiful large geese join you on the flight (not intentional), gliding just in front of you as you float across the water.
